Professional School of Electrical Engineering and Electronics “Marie Sklodovska Curie” was founded in 1962.
Since 1965 for a patron is selected the twice Nobel Prize winner Marie Sklodovska-Curie. During the long years of its existence, the school established itself as one of the most authoritative high professional schools not only in the region, but in the country. The school has many awards such in 1985/86 is a national leader in education. In 1987 is a winner of the Order of “Cyril and Methodius” for exceptional achievements in the field of computer literacy. For the teaching of students take care 77 highly qualified teachers, professionals, craftsmen and support staff which give the students wide general culture and necessary advanced knowledge and skills of electrical engineering and electronics.
The High school always is looking and keeping in touch creative contacts with similar schools, first is in city of Bydgoszcz (Poland) in 1985, in the field of electronics. Problems of the flora and fauna along the Maritza River and its feeder, the river Tunja, gives the appearance of joint researches with students from the Technical of city of Orestiada (Greece). Since 1992 the two school exchange groups also for improvement of English and German.
In 1995 the first contacts are carried out in a college town Yuelsmyunde (Denmark) in the field of information technology and teaching German and English. Especially valuable in these relationships is the ability of students to learn about tolerance between different ethnic and cultural characteristics. In the month of November 1999 ended the first stage of the joint project "Contemporary media forms European democracies", sponsored by the German Foundation Robert Bosch. Spring 2000 is the beginning of contacts with the Technical Electronics of the town of Tekirdağ (Turkey), as interaction in the field of sport, but the prospects are to be covered and other areas of school life. We are currently developing projects in France and Germany. The school is looking for partners working on projects Comenius, Leonardo da Vinci and others. |
